Tattoos are for life, and they are “our silent storytellers, our loyal companies to the grave” everyone gets one for a different reason. Tattoos bring us pride, and you are proud of having it on our skins. So it is important that we are conscious and think smart about getting it and how you are getting it.
Nobody wants a bad tattoo for sure. But unfortunately, a lot of people still get them. Sometimes the client’s fault, sometimes the artist’s. This is why you should go back a listen to the old saying; We gotta “THINK BEFORE YOU INK”.
The first thing to do is Look for a Good Tattoo Shop.
Please no home tattoos, because you are putting yourself at a risk of a major infections; but other then that who knows if they are “good”.
Don’t get it from a person you don’t know who’s giving it for free just ‘cause he’s practicing. Get it from a professional, This is a MUST.
Find a tattoo shop, visit it and observe the area . Take note of the cleanness of the surroundings and observe their hygienic situation. Ask questions if the artist are able to give you an informative answer, you’ll know they’re the ones to trust.
Make sure the artist opens the needle package in front of you, uses a new, disposable ink cup, and wears clean gloves throughout the process.
Where are you wanting the placement?
First you should Know your pain tolerance; Your ribs, feet, butt, knees, elbows, or groin areas will hurt the most. Nothing wrong with pushing yourself, but on a first tattoo it’s more than fine to respect your body’s limits. If you’re very sensitive, avoid choosing those spots for your first tattoo.
Some jobs don’t allow tattoos so think about where you are wanting to put it is a big deal. ask yourself : Am i able to cover it? .
Other people will make your tattoo their business.
If you’ve got a visible tattoo, people will ask about it. Be ready for people to ask you “But what does it mean?”. Get your tattoo for yourself and forget what other people will think of it ; Weather it has a meaning or not.
Does it make you happy?
If it’s right for you, because at the end of the day you’re going to be the one with it for the rest of your life. So if you want it for yourself, give it to yourself. Do not get it because someone told you to are because you feel the need to get it for someone other then yourself.
